Guided Tours
60 minutes – $2/participant
Chaperones: 1 per 10 students
Connect your students to original objects from our community’s material history through a guided tour of the museum’s comprehensive galleries led by our experienced educators.  Guided tours offer amazing opportunities for your students to make the most of their visit to the museum. Educators and trained volunteers engage students in conversations that strengthen curriculum connections and encourage important skills like critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning. Tours must be booked two weeks in advance using the pre-registration form.

Self-Guided Tours
$1/participant
Chaperones: 1 per 5 students
Teachers and their students may explore the museum’s exhibitions independently and at their own pace. Please note that self-guided visits also require appointments.  Tours must be booked in advance using the pre-registration form.

Workshop Style Programs
60 – 120 minutes – $5 – $10/participant
Chaperones: 1 per 10 students
The museum offers workshop style programs for the First World War and Archaeology. Small groups or larger groups that can be divided into smaller parts can have a themed workshop style program that includes activities, artefacts and visits to relevant galleries. The best time to book is in the spring or fall when the temperatures are more conducive to programming. Have a different theme in mind; contact the museum office for information.  Workshop style programs must be booked two weeks in advance using the workshop-style-program-pre-registration-form.

If you are a Girl Guide, Pathfinders, Brownies groups or Beavers and Boy Scout groups then we can customize tours and activities for badge requirements. Please let us know what you need.

Walking Tours
60 minutes – $3/participant
Chaperones: 1 per 10 students
The museum offers a walking tour of several downtown historic sites! This tour features a graveyard activity at the Old Burial Ground! Walking tours are available to groups of 30 or less. Tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance using the walking tour request form. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather!

Classroom Visits
60 minutes – $75/hour plus transportation costs if outside of Fredericton.
We can take the field trip to you!  The Fredericton Region Museum is available to bring our programming to your classroom.  Presently we offer a history of technology program but if you have a different topic that you need presented, we will be happy to work with you to develop a program.  Classroom visits must be booked at least two weeks in advance using the virtual-classroom-or-classroom-visit-pre-registration-form.

Virtual Programs
60 minutes – $50/hour
Take a museum field trip without leaving your classroom! When a field trip is out of the question, connect with our virtual classroom! A class field trip to a museum can spark intense student interest as well as nurture thinking skills but practical concerns, such as money and time, limit the location and number of museums a class can visit. An alternative to real-life field trips is online virtual programs.  Presently we offer a First World War program but if you have a different topic that you need presented, we will be happy to work with you to develop a program.  Virtual programs must be booked at least two weeks in advance using this form.

Specialized Programming for Post-Secondary Education Groups
The museum offers specialized programming for College and University classes to compliment curriculum. Please fill out the pre-registration form and we will be in touch to discuss what options are available.  Specialized programming rates may vary depending on your program needs.  Tours must be booked two weeks in advance using the pre-registration form.
